3G / EDGE / REMOTE Wi-Fi CONNECTION

Note: If this is your first time trying to connect, please see the getting started Guide

Testing for connectivity
  • Run Jumi Controller on your PC, and connect using your iPhone in Wi-Fi and then in 3G. If you are able to connect in both cases, you are done.
Note: To test remote connection try disabling Wi-Fi, in your phone strings.

Option 1: Simple Configuration on router
  1. In the JumiController settings, make sure "Try enabling remote access automatically"  is checked
  2. log in to your router via your web browser (typically http://192.168.1.1 or http://10.0.0.138)
    - You can find out your exact router address by typing "cmd" in the windows start menu & in the command prompt type "ipconfig". Your router address is the number that appears next to "Default Gateway". To access it type in your browser: http:// and then the number
  3. Search for a setting that is labeled similar to one of the following (in many cases this setting is cataloged somewhere under Advanced or Gaming or Firewall or NAT):
    • UPnP: enable UPnP if there is a checkbox for it.
    • If you don't find UPnP, search howto enable UPnP with your router
  4. Restart your router & run JumiController

Option 2: Using your Google credentials
  1. When connection from a remote location is blocked by your security setting you can try using your Google account.
  2. Using your Google account helps enabling remote connection (3G or remote wi-fi) to your secured PC
  3.  To setup, Login to your Google account on both PC and Jumi App.
    • PC - Click the g symbol on JumiController panel and log-in
    • App - Open 'options' screen and Login to Google

Option 3: Enabling access manually on router
  1. In the JumiController settings, uncheck "Try enabling remote access automatically" (you don't need this if you configure remote connections manually). Then save & shut down JumiController
  2. log in to your router via your web browser (typically http://192.168.1.1 or http://10.0.0.138).
    • If you need to add a service or program:
    • Name: Jumi
    • Port Numbers, copy from JumiController's panel
    • Protocols: both TCP & UDP (you might need two separate entries, in this case name them Jumi TCP & Jumi UDP, instead of Jumi)
    • IP Address: your Internal IP from JumiController panel
  4. Restart your router & run JumiController
