COMMON ROUTER CONFIGURATION

Read This First
  1. In the JumiController settings, uncheck "Try enabling remote access automatically". Then save & shut down JumiController
  2. Follow the instructions below for your router, or if your exact router model is not listed, just use one that has similar entries to what you see in your router.
  3. Restart your router when finished, and run JumiController
note - if you need to know your computer IP, it appears on your JumiController (internal IP)

2wire 2701hg-b

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://172.16.0.1)
  • click the 'firewall' link, and then 'firewall settings'
  • select your PC on the 'select a computer box'
  • click 'Add a new user-defined application'
  • in the add application window use the following entries:
    • Name: Jumi TCP   |   Protocol: TCP    |     Port: from 5720 to 5720
    • click 'add definition'.
  • now write these entries:
    • Name: Jumi UDP   |   Protocol: UDP   |   Port: from 5720 to 5720
    • click 'add definition'.
  • click 'back'
  • select the 'Jumi TCP' and 'Jumi UDP' entries in the left side of the list and click 'Add', this will move them to the right side of the list
  • when you're finished, click 'Done'

Aztech DSL600E
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.2.1 ), the default username and password is 'admin'
  • click 'Advanced' and then 'Port Forwarding'
  • select the 'User' radio button
  • click 'New'
  • Enter the following fields:
    • Rule Name: Jumi TCP   |   Protocol: TCP   |   Port start/end/map: 5720
    • click 'Apply',
  • now repeat the process but now with the following fields:
    • Rule Name: Jumi UDP   |   Protocol: UDP   |   Port start/end/map: 5720
    • click 'Apply'
  • Now select the 2 entries - Jumi TCP and Jumi UDP you just created on the left list, and click 'Add', this will move them to the 'Applied Rules' list on the right.
  • Click 'Apply'
  • Now click 'Save All Settings' on the bottom left.

  • Set up a static ip (here's how: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm)
  • Login to your router ( http://192.168.2.1 )
  • The default username and password are blank (empty)
  • Click 'Virtual Servers' link on the left
  • Check the 'Custom server' radio button and write 'Jumi TCP'
  • Chech the "Enable" box
  • Description: Jumi
  • Inbound port: 5720
  • Type: TCP&UDP
  • Private IP Address: your computer IP
  • Private Port: 5720
  • Click Apply Changes

  • Click 'Virtual Servers' link on the left

    • Click the 'Add' Button
  • Do the same process again with the following entries:

    • Write you PC's IP in the 'Server IP address'
    • External port Start: 5720   |   External port End: 5720   |   Protocol: UDP
    • Internal port Start: 5720   |   Internal port End: 5720
    • Click the 'Add' Button

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.0.1), the default username 'admin' and the password is blank (empty)
  • click the 'Advanced' link on the top
  • click the 'Virtual server' button on the left
  • Fill the following entries:
    • select the 'Enabled' radio button on the top
    • Name: Jumi
    • Private IP: your PC's ip (the big IP address you see on the controller)
    • Protocol Type: Both   |   Private Port: 5720   |   Public Port: 5720
    • Schedule: Always
  • click Apply.

DLink dir-615
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.0.1), the default username is 'Admin' and the password is blank (empty)
  • click the 'Advanced' link
  • click the 'Port forwarding' link
  • Fill the following entries:
  • Name: Jumi
  • Ports to open - TCP: 5720 UDP: 5720
  • Schedule: Always
  • Inbound filter: Allow All
  • select your computer on the 'Select your computer' list
  • check the check box on the left side of the entry
  • click 'Save settings'
DLink dir-655
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.0.1), the default username is 'Admin' and the password is blank (empty)
  • click the 'Advanced' link
  • click the 'Port forwarding' link
  • Add the following entries:
  • Name: Jumi
  • Ports to open - TCP: 5720 UDP: 5720
  • click 'Save settings'

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), the default username and password is 'admin'
  • click the 'Advanced' link and then click 'Port Forwarding'
  • Click the 'Add' button
  • Now use the following settings:
    • Private IP: your PC's internal IP (the big IP address on the controller)
    • Protocol: All   |   Public Start Port: 5720   |   Public End Port: 5720
  • Click Apply

Dlink DSL-G604T
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1 )
  • the default username and password is 'admin'
  • click the 'Advanced' link and then click 'Port Forwarding'
  • Select the 'User' radio button and click 'Add'
  • Now use the following settings:
    • Rule Name: Jumi TCP   |   Protocol: TCP   |   Port start: 5720   |   Port end: 5720   |   Port map: 5720
    • and click Apply
  • Now add the following settings:
    • Rule Name: Jumi UDP   |   Protocol: UDP   |   Port start: 5720   |   Port end: 5720   |   Port map: 5720
    • and click Apply
DLink WBR1310
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.0.1), the default username and password is 'admin'
  • click 'Advanced' on the top
  • add the following entry into the list
    • Name: Jumi   |   Port start: 5720   |   Port end: 5720
    • Traffic Type: Any
    • click the 'Select your computer' button and select your PC running JumiController.
    • verify the checkbox on the left to the entry you created is selected
  • click 'Save Settings'
Dynex DX-E402
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), the default username and password is 'admin'
  • on the left panel, click 'Forwarding' and then 'Virtual Servers' on the menu that appears
  • click 'Add New' button
  • Fill the following entries:
    • Service port: 5720
    • IP Address: the internal ip you see on the jumicontroller panel
    • Protocol: ALL
    • Status: Enabled
  • click 'Save'
Edimax BR-6204WG
  • Set up a static IP for your PC, heres how: http://portforward.com/networking/staticip.htm 
  • Open a web browser and enter the IP of your router, by default it is http://192.168.1.2 
  • You should see a box prompting you for your username and password.  By default the username is admin, and the password is 1234. Click the Ok button to log in to your router 
  • Click the General Setup link near the right of the page. 
  • Click the Firewall link near the left of the page. 
  • Put a dot into the Disable radio button.  
  • Click the NAT link near the left of the page 
  • Click Virtual Server 
  • Enter the following settings:   
  • IP Address: your static IP address    
  • Private Port: 5720   |  Protocol: Both   |   Public Port: 5720  | Comment Jumi
Echolife HG520B
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), the default username and password are 'admin'
  • on the left menu, click 'Basic'
  • in the menu that appears, click 'NAT'
  • click the 'Virtual Server' button
  • Use the settings:
    • Rule Index: 1   |   Application: Jumi   |   Protocol: ALL
    • Start Port Number: 5720   |   End Port Number: 5720
    • Local IP Address:  your PC's internal address (the big number on the controller)
    • Start Port(Local): 5720   |   End Port(Local):5720

Huawei e5830

METHOD 1:
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1 ), the default password is 'admin'
  • Click the 'Security' link on the left and then click 'Virtual Server'
  • Now enter these settings:
    • Protocol: TCP   |   Name: Jumi TCP
    • Address: your PC's internal IP address (the big IP number on jumi controller)
    • Status: On   |   WAN Port: 5720   |   LAN Port: 5720
  • Click Apply, and repeat the process, but now with these settings:
    • Protocol: UDP   |   Name: Jumi UDP
    • Address: your PC's internal IP address
    • Status: On   |   WAN Port: 5720   |   LAN Port: 5720
  • Click Apply.
METHOD2:
  • Enable UPnP on the router, under 'Security' -> UPnP settings
