COMMON ROUTER CONFIGURATION

Read This First
  1. In the JumiController settings, uncheck "Try enabling remote access automatically". Then save & shut down JumiController
  2. Follow the instructions below for your router, or if your exact router model is not listed, just use one that has similar entries to what you see in your router.
  3. Restart your router when finished, and run JumiController
note - if you need to know your computer IP, it appears on your JumiController (internal IP)

TP-Link TL-WR340G
  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), the default password and username is 'admin'
  • click the 'Forwarding' link on the left
  • click 'Virtual Servers'
  • Use the following settings:
    • Service port: 5720
    • IP Address: internal IP address you see on JumiController
    • Protocol: ALL
    • Status: Enabled
  • and click Save

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1), the default username is 'admin' the default password is 'password'
  • click the 'Firewall settings' button
  • click 'Port forwarding'
  • click 'Add'
  • select 'Custom Defined Service' from the 'Select an existing Service/Rule' drop down box, and click 'Create'
  • Use the following settings:
    • Enter name for the custom service: Jumi
    • Specify the port forwarding entry based on your specific ports: Port Forwarding
    • Define the first rule:
      •   Protocol: both
      •   Global PortStart: 5720   |     Global PortEnd: 5720   |     Base HostPort; 5720
      •   Direction: In   |   Port Direction: Dst
    • click 'Apply'
  • Now select the 'Jumi; service you just created from the 'Select a service/Rule' drop down box, and select the 'Host' radio button.
  • Select your PC from the 'Select a discovered LAN device' drop down box.
  • Click Apply

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.0.1), the default username is 'admin' and the default password is 'password'
  • click the 'Port forwarding' link on the left
  • click 'Add Custom Service' button
  • use the following entries:
    • Service Name: Jumi   |   Starting Port: 5720   |   Ending port: 5720
    • Server IP Address: your PC's internal IP, its displayed on the JumiController
  • Click 'Add'

Zyxel P660HW-D1

  • Login to your router using your browser (typically http://192.168.1.1 ) the default password is 1234
  • Click 'Network' on the left
  • Click 'NAT' on the menu that appears
  • Click 'Port Forwarding' on the top of the page
  • in the 'Service Name' drop down box, select 'User define'
  • Fill the following entries:
    • Active: YES (check)
    • Service Name: Jumi
    • Start Port: 5720   |   End Port: 5720
    • Server IP Address: your PC ip address (the big number you see in JumiController)
    • Click 'Apply'
  • Now click the 'Security' link on the left
  • Click 'Firewall' on the menu that appears
  • remove the check from the 'Active Firewall' checkbox.
  • Click 'Apply'
